Softball Recap: Marion County Falls Short of Irwin County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marion County can now relate to. They lost 8-1 to the Irwin County Indians on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since September 9th.

Haleigh Frazier made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Marion County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-11 record this season. As for Irwin County, the win was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-2.

As of now, neither Marion County nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
