Soccer Recap: Swainsboro's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Swainsboro came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to the Savannah Country Day Hornets. While losing is never fun, Swainsboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Savannah Country Day are ranked 17th).

Swainsboro's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Savannah Country Day, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Swainsboro will head out to take on Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swainsboro is facing Washington County at the right time seeing as Washington County is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Savannah Country Day, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Vidalia at 7:00 p.m. Vidalia's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
