Basketball Recap: Bella Vista Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Mackenzie Dean and Eva Jensen

Bella Vista lost against West Park back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bella Vista Broncos took a hard 55-39 fall against the West Park Panthers.

Eva Jensen and Mackenzie Dean certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Jensen dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 boards, while Dean posted 11 points. Jensen has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more boards the last ten times she's played.

Even though they lost, Bella Vista smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Bella Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for West Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Bella Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-37 loss against Union Mine on the 20th. As for West Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-21 win against El Dorado on the 20th.
