Mountain View had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles 2-1.

Andrew Brech spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 6-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Mountain View's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nick Clayborn, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they moved to 10-8 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Mountain View will head out on the road to square off against Discovery at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Wesleyan on the 10th.
