Baseball Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Reavis Rams

The Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack will head out to take on the Reavis Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saint Ignatius College Prep's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Reavis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Saint Ignatius College Prep got the win against Brooks by a conclusive 9-1. Considering the Wolfpack have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Sexton tossed a big game, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Quinn Wiedelman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Reid Hites was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Reavis fell victim to St. Rita and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Mustangs. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Saint Ignatius College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Reavis, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-12.
