Softball Recap: Charlton County Takes a Loss

Charlton County was the 11-6 winner over Brunswick when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christiona Farmer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Farmer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Callie Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Charlton County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Brunswick, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

While Charlton County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
