After a string of seven wins, Carlisle's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (7-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Winterset, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carlisle is set to face off against their familiar foe A-D-M at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Winterset will challenge rival Boone at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
