Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Panthers vs. Harlem Bulldogs

Lakeside is 1-9 against Harlem since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Lakeside Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Harlem Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Lakeside 3.2, Harlem 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lakeside easily dispatched Burke County last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Lakeside fell just short of Harlem by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lakeside got a good showing from Tyler Malloy, who struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave Malloy a new career-high.

At the plate, Josh Lombardo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Harlem, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
