Softball Recap: Cartersville Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Cartersville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Cedartown Bulldogs by a score of 5-2. The Hurricanes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Zoie Shiflett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kennedy Crenshaw was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophia Harper was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cartersville's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Cedartown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
