Football Recap: Pine River-Backus Finds Home Field Redemption Against Spectrum

There's no place like home for Pine River-Backus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 25-20 win over the Spectrum Sting on Wednesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Sting are ranked 110th).

The win snapped Pine River-Backus' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Spectrum, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Pine River-Backus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-6 defeat against Otter Tail Central co-op [Battle Lake/Henning] on the 21st. As for Spectrum, they will take on Foley on the 25th.
