Soccer Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Caldwell's offense. They came up short against the Monroe Central Seminoles on Saturday, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Monroe Central this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 two weeks ago.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Monroe Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will host Wood County Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Caldwell's defense better be ready for this one: Wood County Christian have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Monroe Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Union Local at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
