Softball Recap: Ringgold Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Ringgold had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the LaFayette Ramblers by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Emorie Coles spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

LaFayette's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ringgold will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for LaFayette, they will face off against Northwest Whitfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Ramblers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
