Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walnut Grove). They never let the Alcovy Tigers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Saturday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight runs or more this season.

Branson Blalock was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He also put up a double, which washis first of the season. Gary Staffins was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Walnut Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alcovy only posted an OBP of .000.

The victory made it two in a row for Walnut Grove and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Alcovy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Walnut Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against Alcovy: the pair will be back at it again later today.
