Football Recap: East Davidson Comes Up Short

East Davidson lost against Providence Grove back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Eagles took a hard 32-14 fall against the Patriots. While the Golden Eagles had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Patriots 7-3.

Nick Straughn was a one-man wrecking crew For Providence Grove. as he rushed for 151 yards and one score while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Jackson Lawver helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards and a rushing touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for East Davidson and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Providence Grove, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.
