Marshall has struggled against The Academy - San Francisco recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The Academy - San Francisco's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Delilah Roller, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Zhu, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five steals.
Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for The Academy - San Francisco, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Marshall will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burton at 4:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for The Academy - San Francisco, they will head out on the road to face off against Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
