Softball Recap: Lee's Summit Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lee's Summit proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blue Springs Wildcats, sneaking past 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory (which was Lee's Summit's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for Blue Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee's Summit will face off against Park Hill South at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Springs, they will take on Lee's Summit North at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
