Baseball Recap: Unity Christian Comes Up Short

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Covenant Christian Academy Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-9 back in March.

Unity Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Aaron Kennett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Unity Christian's record is now 3-8. As for Covenant Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Unity Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 14.6 runs per game this season. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
