Basketball Recap: New Roads Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Roads). They snuck past the SEED: LA Grizzlies with a 43-37 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the defeat, SEED: LA saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Parker Allen posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martharely Sanchez, who had six points.

New Roads' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for SEED: LA, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

New Roads wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-9 loss against Vistamar on the 6th. As for SEED: LA, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 34-15 win against Southwestern Academy on the 9th.
