Pioneer is 8-2 against Piedmont Hills since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pioneer Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Pioneer's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, neither Pioneer nor Leland could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Gilroy. The result was nothing new for the Pirates as the team haven't won a game since December 20, 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Jaylene Ramos, who's now up to three this season.

Pioneer's draw gives them a new season record of 10-2-2. Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills' record is now 5-4-5.

Pioneer was able to grind out a solid win over Piedmont Hills when the teams last played on January 14th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pioneer since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
