Basketball Game Preview: Tri-City Christian Eagles vs. Crawford Colts

The Tri-City Christian Eagles will take on the Crawford Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-City Christian's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Crawford's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Tri-City Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mission Bay as Tri-City Christian made off with a 42-22 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Katie Busch was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-14 on her way to 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Stevie Crowe also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Crawford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They strolled past Kearny with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 52-38. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Komets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Tri-City Christian better keep an eye on Fatuma Abdi. She was instrumental in Crawford's win, putting up 26 points. Abdi continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ilhan Ali Mohammed was another key player, scoring eight points and five boards.

Tri-City Christian pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.1 points over those games. As for Crawford, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
