Osseo lost to Anoka back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Orioles snuck past the Tornadoes with a 29-25 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Orioles.

Anoka's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Sieben, who rushed for 93 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 110 yards on eight of 22 attempts. Sieben got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards. Another back making a difference was Brody Rush, who rushed for 126 yards and one score.

Osseo's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Anoka, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Osseo will head out on the road to take on Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sabers' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Orioles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Anoka, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Andover at 7:00 p.m.
