Baseball Game Preview: Fulton Steamers vs. River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats

Fulton is a perfect 10-0 against River Ridge/Scales Mound since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Steamers will welcome the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fulton has four straight wins, River Ridge/Scales Mound has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

River Ridge/Scales Mound's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Fulton hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Steamers' pitchers stepped up to hand Kewanee a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Steamers have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for River Ridge/Scales Mound's offense. They lost 13-0 to Fulton on Tuesday.

River Ridge/Scales Mound's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
