Soccer Game Preview: Hillgrove vs. Grayson

The Hillgrove Hawks will head out to take on the Grayson Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hillgrove managed to slip by River Ridge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, Hillgrove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while River Ridge are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Grayson entered their tilt with Loganville on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Red Devils. The result was nothing new for Grayson, who have now won 11 matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Grayson pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those eight games. As for Hillgrove, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.
