Douglas County West waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They skirted past the Arlington Eagles 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-0 on Saturday.

Lillee Zach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Bella Zach was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Douglas County West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.

Douglas County West's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
