Recap: Owen J. Roberts Wildcats vs. Collegium Charter Cougar
The Owen J. Roberts Wildcats took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They took down Collegium Charter 61-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Owen J. Roberts also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Cougar players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nasira Towles, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Towles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Alexander, who scored 10 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Owen J. Roberts' victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Collegium Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen J. Roberts will challenge Unionville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Collegium Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Upper Merion Area at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Upper Merion Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Friday.
