Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Bella Vista Broncos

Roseville is 9-1 against Bella Vista since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Roseville Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Bella Vista Broncos at 7:30 p.m. Roseville has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.

Roseville suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-15 loss at the hands of Woodcreek. Roseville has struggled against Woodcreek recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

While Bella Vista couldn't quite beat Yuba City on Wednesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 44-point defeat they were dealt last Friday. Bella Vista fell just short of Yuba City by a score of 39-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Bella Vista has suffered yet this season.

The losing side was boosted by Ellie Thome, who scored 19 points along with nine steals. That was a full 51.4% of Bella Vista's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Eva Jensen, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Bella Vista smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yuba City only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Roseville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Bella Vista, they bumped their record down to 7-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Roseville couldn't quite finish off Bella Vista in their previous matchup on January 3rd and fell 33-31. Can Roseville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
