Basketball Game Preview: Orange Cove Titans vs. Corcoran Panthers

Orange Cove hasn't had much luck against Corcoran recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Orange Cove Titans will welcome the Corcoran Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Orange Cove will be strutting in after a win while Corcoran will be coming in after a loss.

Orange Cove is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Alpaugh, posting a 60-30 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Corcoran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of Edison. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly five points.

Orange Cove will have to contain Natalie Luna as she made an impact in Corcoran's last game. She almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Luna a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoee Cabral, who posted 14 points.

Corcoran's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Orange Cove, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Orange Cove took a serious blow against Corcoran when the teams last played back in January, falling 70-9. Thankfully for Orange Cove, Emilee Santos (who went 8 of 12 on her way to 24 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
