Basketball Recap: Connellsville Takes a Loss

Connellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Canon-McMillan Big Macs 62-32. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-22 back in January.

Samantha Miller was nothing short of spectacular for Canon-McMillan: she posted 18 points and five steals. That's the most steals Miller has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lauren Borella, who scored 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Connellsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Canon-McMillan, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Connellsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canon-McMillan, they will welcome Montour at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
