Softball Recap: North Platte Has No Trouble Against East Buchanan

While North Platte put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for East Buchanan. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Charlie Hinton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Hinton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Morgan Ball was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Deidra Zweibohmer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

North Platte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

North Platte's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for East Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Platte will venture away from home to square off against Lawson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Buchanan, they will head out to challenge Penney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
