Soccer Game Preview: Berkeley vs. Cane Bay

Berkeley is 1-9 against Cane Bay since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Stags will head out on the road to face off against the Cobras at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Berkeley's offense. They came up short against Stratford on Thursday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Berkeley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Stratford are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Cane Bay also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 5-0 to Wando on Monday.

Cane Bay now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Berkeley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Berkeley suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Cane Bay when the teams last played back in March. Can the Stags avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
