Softball Recap: West Memphis Christian Takes a Loss

Kirk Academy hit West Memphis Christian with a ten-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Black Knights came up short against the Raiders, falling 13-1. The Black Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Josie Skoff was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run.

West Memphis Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kirk Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, West Memphis Christian will square off against Lee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirk Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Black Knights' game: after the Black Knights face off against North Delta, they'll take on Kirk Academy again at 4:00 p.m. on September 9.
