Baseball Recap: Evansville Harrison Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Evansville Central, Evansville Harrison was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the South Spencer Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cameron Ferris was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Ty Speer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Evansville Harrison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Evansville Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 7-19. As for South Spencer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's still a better percentage than their 6-20 record this season.

Evansville Harrison and South Spencer are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Warriors will face off against Evansville Reitz at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Spencer, they will challenge Perry Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
