Football Recap: Pompano Beach Takes a Loss

Pompano Beach played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 45-6 loss at the hands of the Pine Crest Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Golden Tornadoes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Zach Moss looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 118 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (156.3).

Pompano Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pine Crest, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pompano Beach will challenge Taravella at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine Crest, they will host St. Edward's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
