Softball Recap: Lincoln Northeast Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elkhorn North, Lincoln Northeast was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Omaha Central Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Hailey Leininger was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

The win got Lincoln Northeast back to even at 2-2. As for Omaha Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Lincoln Northeast didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Norfolk on the 26th. As for Omaha Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-2 victory against Bryan on the 25th.
