Basketball Recap: Clarion Area Takes a Loss

Clarion Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 62-43 fall against the Karns City Gremlins. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 42-26 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Clarion Area still got an impressive performance from Marley Kline, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Lacey Lauer, who had ten points.

Clarion Area's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Karns City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Clarion Area has already played their next contest (against Moniteau), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Karns City has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Armstrong.
