Softball Recap: Lexington's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Lexington barely beat Braymer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Minutemen blew past the Bobcats 20-5 on Monday. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lexington got a massive performance out of Kinsley Worthington, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hunter Adkins, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lexington lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Lexington's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Braymer, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Lexington will be playing in front of their home fans against Holden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Braymer, they are taking a road trip to face off against Maysville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
