Baseball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 7-19 to make it four. They came up short against the Alliance Aviators, falling 14-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 17-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

As for Alliance, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9. Considering they have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Alliance's part, DiAngelo Fisk made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Fisk has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Alliance got a massive performance out of Bo Davis, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Charles Ekey, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will host Firestone at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season. As for Alliance, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Aquinas at 5:00 p.m.
