Basketball Game Preview: Palm Springs Indians vs. Indio Rajahs

The Palm Springs Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Indio Rajahs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Indio took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Palm Springs, who comes in off a win.

Palm Springs is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Cathedral City: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Indians blew the Lions out of the water with a 53-7 final score. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Palm Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Indio came up short against La Quinta on Tuesday, falling 37-12. The game marked the Rajahs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Palm Springs pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points on average over those games. As for Indio, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
