Softball Recap: Mary Persons Has No Trouble Against Jones County

Mary Persons hadn't done well against Jones County recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs blew past the Greyhounds 11-3. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mary Persons is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Jones County, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.

As of now, neither Mary Persons nor the Greyhounds have any future games scheduled.
