Soccer Game Preview: Crestwood vs. Memorial

Crestwood will challenge Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crestwood has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crestwood managed to keep up with Hubbard until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Red Devils lost 5-1 to the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Crestwood couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Henry Sommer, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Memorial). They never let Garfield get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Wednesday. Memorial haven't had any issues with Garfield recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Memorial's win bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Crestwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
