Valley Forge took an 11-goal loss the last time they faced off against Berea-Midpark, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Titans 2-1. Even though Valley Forge got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Yousuf Noori was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Justin Purcel and Yousaf Sadiq scored both of Valley Forge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Valley Forge now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Berea-Midpark, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Coincidentally, Valley Forge and Berea-Midpark will both be playing Steele the next time they take the pitch. The Patriots will host the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Titans will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
