Softball Recap: Seckinger Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chattahoochee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seckinger). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Chattahoochee Cougars on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addison Szymanski was incredible, going 1-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kaylee Cook was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Seckinger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .880. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Seckinger's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Chattahoochee, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seckinger will venture away from home to challenge Milton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Chattahoochee, they will head out to square off against Dunwoody at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
