Football Game Preview: Chickasaw Chieftains vs. St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats

The Chickasaw Chieftains will head out to face off against the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Luke's Episcopal took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chickasaw, who comes in off a win.

Chickasaw will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up eight points last Friday, then bounced right back against Bayshore Christian on Thursday. The Chieftains strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 33-14.

Meanwhile, St. Luke's Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Clarke County, falling 36-14.

St. Luke's Episcopal didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brantley Weed, Henry Thompson, and Jathan Richardson picked up one apiece.

Chickasaw's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-5.

Chickasaw suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to St. Luke's Episcopal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Chieftains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
