Soccer Recap: Manzano Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Manzano has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 5-0 to the Mayfield Trojans on Saturday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Manzano couldn't quite close it out.

Manzano's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mayfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Manzano will host Eldorado at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eldorado's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mayfield, they are taking a road trip to challenge Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Mayfield their first taste of in-conference action this season.
