Baseball Recap: West Hall Takes a Loss

West Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oconee County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-1 defeat on Friday.

Drew Svetz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

West Hall's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Oconee County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

West Hall will welcome East Hall at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. West Hall is facing East Hall at the right time seeing as East Hall is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Oconee County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherokee Bluff will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Oconee County surely won't give up without a fight.
