Softball Game Preview: Worth County Rams vs. Cairo Syrupmakers

The Worth County Rams will square off against the Cairo Syrupmakers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Worth County: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Cairo has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.

Worth County came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Crisp County by a score of 14-12 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since September 4th.

Isabelle Hancock led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ansley Bartley, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Meanwhile, Cairo came up short against Northside on Saturday, falling 8-2. The Syrupmakers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Worth County's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Cairo, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
