League recap: First place up for grabs as Peachtree Ridge and Norcross jockey for top spot

7B-AAAAAA league recap: 4/3/13

First place in 7B-AAAAAA standings is up for grabs this week, as Norcross sits just 1 game back of Peachtree Ridge.

The Lions outpaced the rest of the league this week, as their two total wins led the league. Peachtree Ridge beat Collins Hill 3-0 and the Blue Devils 4-0.

Norcross' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 15 hits and eight walks to lead the league in both categories.

The Blue Devils' Jackson Williams led the league in strikeouts this week with three. With 24 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks second in the league.



Norcross' Joseph Wilber was locked in this week, and led the league with a .500 average (3-for-6) over that span. He's batting .406 on the year, which puts him at third in the league. Wilber has totaled 13 hits this season.
