Softball Recap: Kirksville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fulton on Thursday, Kirksville came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Chillicothe Hornets by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost six in a row.

Kirksville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Chillicothe, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Kirksville will head out on the road to face off against Macon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chillicothe, they have already played their next match, a 10-9 victory against Savannah on the 13th.
