 The Helix Highlanders will head out on the road to  face off against  the Francis Parker Lancers at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Helix will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Francis Parker is ranked 102nd).
 Helix had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a  53-33 margin over Otay Ranch. Helix has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11  games by 20  points or more this season.
  Valerie Marquez was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 21 points and 27  rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight  rebounds for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mykhaila Clark, who  scored four points along with eight  assists and eight  steals.
 Meanwhile, Francis Parker scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Monte Vista 80-13 at home. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Francis Parker with their most commanding win of the season.
 The  victory was  the third in a row for Helix, bringing their record for this year to 19-7. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Francis Parker, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record  this season.
 Everything went Helix's way against Francis Parker in their previous matchup  back in December of 2019 as Helix made off with a  63-43 win. Will Helix repeat their success,  or does  Francis Parker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
