Baseball Recap: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. Druid Hills Red Devils
Miller Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the Druid Hills Red Devils. The shutout was out of character for Miller Grove seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
For Druid Hills' part, Ryan Horner was incredible, going 3-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Fisher Isbell, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Miller Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Druid Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Miller Grove is on the road again on Monday to play Mt. Zion at 5:00 p.m. As for Druid Hills, they will play host again on Tuesday to welcome Southwest DeKalb, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
